The American dream, often associated with financial success and personal fulfillment, is fundamentally linked to social and economic mobility. Yet, achieving mobility in America is complex and challenging. In our discussion, we will explore the critical roles that education, cultural influences, policy-making, and social networks play in shaping success in America.
 
 
We will also explore the role that nonprofits play in providing essential services to those that need it most, how nonprofits have taken on this role in America, and the implications of this reality. As part of this discussion, we will tour the Cradle to Crayons facility and learn about the essential services they provide to the community.
 
 
Most importantly, this dialogue will intertwine with our personal narratives. We will reflect on the people, policies, resources, and experiences that have impacted our own lives and careers. By doing so, we aim to explore how our individual stories are intertwined with broader mobility trends. This personal perspective promises to provide invaluable insights, showcasing how the lives we’ve lived, the lessons we’ve learned, and the challenges we’ve overcome can teach us broader lessons about mobility in America.

COVID-19 In-Person Policy

The health and safety of our NationSwell members, staff, and community is incredibly important to us. In order to keep everyone safe, we require proof of full vaccination from everyone in attendance at the event. Fully vaccinated is defined as at least 14 days after receiving the final vaccine in a one- or two-shot protocol with a vaccine approved by the FDA or WHO (including emergency use authorization). We also encourage all attendees, presenters, and staff to wear a mask when in the event space and not actively eating or drinking
