As mission-driven organizations, private foundations and other institutional funders have an opportunity to lead by example in the ways that they hardwire equity and inclusion into their organizational design. Even so, they are not strangers to the challenges, tensions, and pressures pushing against that work. 

As we reflect on the polycrises of the last few years, and the work awaiting us on the road ahead, we must continue to look inward at the ways in which our teams, our programs, and our operations are aligned with the intersecting goals of promoting equity, efficacy, and efficiency.
