Black Women in Leadership Braintrust

Braintrust
Thursday, July 17, 2025
3:00pm – 4:00pm ET

About

In early 2025, political, legal, and cultural forces are converging to reshape how private sector organizations approach their social impact work. These changes are driven by federal actions, shifting public sentiment, and evolving business strategies, creating a complex and polarized environment. In response, the business community is diverging in its approaches to social impact and DEI initiatives. While some companies are scaling back in response to political and legal pressures, others remain fairly steadfast, integrating DEI and social impact principles as foundational to their organizational identity and strategy.

As Black women in leadership at the forefront of this work, it feels necessary to have a safe space to connect with peers in this space that can understand and speak to the unique challenges that come with this responsibility.

To encourage open and candid discussion, this event follows the Chatham House Rule – attendees may share insights from the conversation but cannot attribute statements to specific individuals or organizations. This ensures a trusted space for thoughtful dialogue and deeper insights.

NationSwell’s events and experiences are designed to bring together diverse, purpose-driven leaders and organizations for learning, inspiration, relationship-building, and societal impact.
