The first-ever global stocktake in 2023 confirmed what we already know: we are significantly off track to meeting the goals of the Paris Agreement. As we begin a new year, the time is right for us to reflect on what’s needed to act with urgency and conviction.
2024 will bring parallel challenges and opportunities for corporate sustainability programs and their leaders. New reporting regulations are in effect or will soon be, global efforts to increase focus on biodiversity and nature-related climate impacts are underway, scrutiny of carbon markets and their role in net zero commitments is reaching new heights, AI is promising novel solutions at the same time it carries certain risks to our progress, and the need for community-centered approaches to adaptation and resilience is likely to become even more acute as climate impacts mount.
Join us at this virtual Leader Roundtable for a forward-looking discussion about the year ahead for climate and sustainability work. Together we’ll surface the most pressing questions, trends, needs, and opportunities on the horizon for 2024 and engage one another in a discussion about the most impactful ways this community can drive progress in the months ahead.
NationSwell’s events and experiences are designed to bring together diverse, purpose-driven leaders and organizations for learning, inspiration, relationship-building, and societal impact.
