In-Person Event | New York City
Tuesday, September 19, 2023
6:00pm – 9:00pm ET
Location information will be provided in a separate email once your registration has been confirmed.
In the past 5 years, our country has faced converging economic, health, and climate crises that have exposed and exacerbated extreme inequities in policing, health outcomes, educational opportunities, workforce skills, and housing. These inequities are the direct result of structures that systematically withheld access to better opportunities for generations.
Join fellow NationSwell Council members as we take a cross-sector approach to discussing actionable, tactical, and scalable solutions to dismantling the systems and structures that continue to exacerbate these inequities. Together, we will examine the meaning of equitable leadership and discuss what leaders can do to develop the capacity to engage in purposeful action.
This participatory salon is open to all Council members who are interested in social justice, economic opportunity, and generational equity.
“If you have come here to help me, you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together.”- Lilla Watson

The health and safety of our NationSwell members, staff, and community is incredibly important to us. In order to keep everyone safe, we require proof of full vaccination from everyone in attendance at the event. Fully vaccinated is defined as at least 14 days after receiving the final vaccine in a one- or two-shot protocol with a vaccine approved by the FDA or WHO (including emergency use authorization). We also encourage all attendees, presenters, and staff to wear a mask when in the event space and not actively eating or drinking
