6:00–9:00 PM PT
Seattle, WA
Join NationSwell, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, and the Seattle Foundation for an intimate evening of conversation, connection, and community. Over dinner, we’ll explore the role racial healing plays in creating a more equitable world for children, families and communities. Through the transformative power of storytelling, we’ll discuss how to bridge the empathy gap and cultivate hope and solidarity in an era of deep division.
Guiding our discussion are La June Montgomery Tabron, President and CEO of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, and Alesha Washington, President and CEO of the Seattle Foundation. They will share reflections and insights from La June’s new book, How We Heal: A Journey Toward Truth, Racial Healing, and Community Transformation from the Inside Out, which chronicles her personal and professional journey toward healing, reconciliation, and community transformation.
This gathering will be more than a conversation—it will be an opportunity for private sector leaders, educators, and cultural influencers shaping equity conversations to engage in open dialogue, exchange perspectives, and build meaningful connections. At a moment when programs advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion face mounting challenges, this convening offers a space for honest reflection and forward momentum. We look forward to sharing an inspiring and thought-provoking evening together.
To encourage open and candid discussion, this event follows the Chatham House Rule – attendees may share insights from the conversation but cannot attribute statements to specific individuals or organizations. This ensures a trusted space for thoughtful dialogue and deeper insights.
