It has become clear that diversifying talent pipelines is an increasing priority for employers. Companies are interested in hiring more first-generation college students and talent of color than ever before, and there is a clear opportunity to continue investment after they have entered the workforce, creating environments where entry-level employees are able to progress and thrive in their roles. We are in an opportune moment to accelerate progress with the current focus on increasing protections for DEIB programs.
The vision of a diverse, thriving, and equitable workforce will only be realized if talent of color and first generation college students have the resources and support they need not only to secure employment, but to retain and progress within their roles.
