Break the Bias Part 4: Building The Future Workforce Through Understanding Reproductive Health, New York City

In-Person Event | New York City
November 30, 6:00pm – 9:00pm ET

About

The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade has had ripple effects that reach far beyond the legality of abortion in the United States. One area that has been particularly impacted is the workplace, as businesses and organizations must now navigate an even more complex system of healthcare and family leave benefits.

Join Beth Bengtson, CEO of Working for Women, and our host Lauren Sandler, journalist, and author of “This Is All I Got,” for a dinner and conversation probing how the Dobbs decision has impacted the workforce. Lauren + Beth will be hosting a discussion focusing on how Dobbs has affected employers, especially those operating in states with abortion bans that conflict with the organizations’ health care benefits, and how these changes impact everyone, not just women, and branch out into other areas of life such as education, child care, and family planning.

Participants will come away from this discussion with a new perspective on how this one decision has caused a massive shift in all areas of life as we look into solutions for dealing with these multifaceted problems.
