SUMMARY:The Case for Childcare: Understanding the benefits & barriers for businesses to support working families and the care economy
DESCRIPTION:The Case for Childcare: Understanding the benefits & barriers for businesses to support working families and the care economy\n \n \n \n \n \n Location: VirtualFriday\, April 21\, 202312:00pm – 1:30pm ET | 9:00am – 10:30am PT \n \n I'm interested in joining this event. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About\n \n \n \n \n \n The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic forced many mothers out of the workforce\, at disproportionate rates compared to fathers. While men have recouped most lost jobs\, women – especially BIPOC women – have been forced out due to exacerbated systemic inequities and underfunding for the care economy. Meanwhile\, only 6% of American companies offer their employees child care benefits. \nThis backdrop sits at a time of immense social change\, disruption\, and possibility. The changes in work and working styles\, expectations of employers\, and a commitment to DEIB present a window of opportunity for businesses to not only actively support the re-entry of women in the workforce\, but also to accelerate the advancement of workers with families and usher in a broader commitment for gender equity.Join us for a 90-minute working group\, convening leaders to surface effective solutions\, understand barriers\, catalyze partnerships\, & share cross-sector knowledge to build the business case for supporting dual-working moms – those who work both in the home & in the workforce. \nThis working group is part of a NationSwell Collaborative project with American Family Insurance Institute for Corporate & Social Impact\, Annie E. Casey Foundation\, National Domestic Workers Alliance\, Care in Action\, Caring Across Generations & Working for Women\, and Pivotal Ventures. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Presented By\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n NationSwell’s events and experiences are designed to bring together diverse\, purpose-driven leaders and organizations for learning\, inspiration\, relationship-building\, and societal impact.

SUMMARY:Salon: Evolving Leadership for a Changing and Uncertain World\, New York City
DESCRIPTION:Salon: Evolving Leadership for a Changing and Uncertain World\n \n \n \n \n \n In Person Event | New York City Wednesday\, April 19\, 20236:00 pm – 9:00 pm ET \n \n Join Waitlist\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About\n \n \n \n \n \n Location information will be provided in a separate email once your registration has been confirmed. \nThe newness of hybrid and remote work have permanently remade the corporate landscape\, necessitating a swift reexamination of our traditional hierarchical systems. The NationSwell Council has spent the last few months asking questions about how we can rethink connectedness\, community\, and partnership; how we can reorganize in ways that produce more equitable outcomes; and what leadership means in 2023; and we’re excited to continue those conversations in person! \nJoin us for a living room-style salon where we’ll talk about the future of work and what it means to truly share power\, refine our approaches to culture-building\, and rethink traditional metrics for success in order to focus on a broader set of outcomes. \nMeeting many of the challenges we face will require us to move towards a model that brings in disparate leaders from across systems to build a new culture of equity and belonging — one that prioritizes DEIB initiatives\, mindful hiring practices\, and workforce satisfaction and retention rates. We’re looking forward to getting together in-person in order to build upon our past conversations\, share key insights from prior conversations\, and pool our experiences and ideas in order to continue building out our shared definition of a more evolved leadership. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n FEATURING\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Beth Bengtson\nCEO & Founder \nWorking for Women \n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Jason Craige Harris \nManaging Partner and Senior Advisor ((Strategist\, Mediator\, Coach\, DEI Specialist)) \n Perception Strategies \n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Radha Ruparell \nHead of Global Leadership Accelerator \nTeach For All \n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Josh Saterman\nCEO \nSaterman Connect \n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Host\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Tory Clarke \nCo-Founder and Partner \nBridge Partners  \n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n AGENDA\n \n \n \n \n \n 6:00 PMWelcome and Happy Hour \n7:00 PMFormal Discussion \n8:15 PMReflect and Mingle \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COVID-19 In-Person Policy\n \n \n \n \n \n The health and safety of our NationSwell members\, staff\, and community is incredibly important to us. SUMMARY:Bringing Climate into our work
DESCRIPTION:Bringing Climate into our Work\n \n \n \n \n \n Location: VirtualThursday April 13\, 20234:00pm – 5:00pm ET | 1:00pm – 2:00pm PT \n \n I'm interested in joining this event. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About\n \n \n \n \n \n New research suggests that at least 85 percent of the world’s population has already experienced extreme weather events made worse by climate change\, and that more than 200 million people worldwide are bound to be displaced by the effects of the climate crisis by the year 2050. It is becoming increasingly clear that no matter who we are or where we live\, we all have a role to play in the solution. Leaders are becoming aware of the intersectional nature of climate issues – all jobs are eco-jobs\, and all organizations can incorporate climate into their work. Exciting cross-sector initiatives\, such as The Partnership for the Civilian Climate Corps that will put people on pathways to good-paying jobs in the clean energy and resilience sectors\, show us how leaders are entering the climate conversation and making a difference.  \nJoin us for a leadership support session led by climate experts from across industries on what you can do to incorporate a climate focus into your organization’s work. We’ll tackle key questions around implementing those changes: how to engage the next generation of leaders in our programs; how we can structure new financial mechanisms that de-risks investment in climate tech solutions at the project development stage; and how we can best leverage the most effective cross-sector partnerships and storytelling to catalyze support for the implementation of new solutions. \nOur goal is to carve out virtual space for connection\, support\, and shared learning for any leaders of nonprofits\, businesses\, social enterprises\, and communities who are navigating ways to address intersectional issues in their work. All members of the NationSwell Council are welcome to attend. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Featured Participants\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Heather White\nFounder and CEO \nOneGreenThing \n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Keri Browder\nDirector\, Project Frame \nPrime Coalition \n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Will Allen\nSenior Vice President of Strategic Giving & Conservation Services \nThe Conservation Fund \n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Jonathan Stott\nExecutive Director  \nEcoRise Youth Innovation \n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Upcoming Events\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Check out the Council calendar to learn more about upcoming events. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n NationSwell’s events and experiences are designed to bring together diverse\, purpose-driven leaders and organizations for learning\, inspiration\, relationship-building\, and societal impact.

And more generally\, what are the most compelling ways to frame and communicate our stories?  \nDuring this virtual NationSwell Leader Roundtable\, we’ll take a look under the hood at some of the biggest “do’s” and key watch-outs around telling our ESG and impact stories\, particularly in the midst of the charged political environment and larger political swirl companies are currently facing. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n NationSwell’s events and experiences are designed to bring together diverse\, purpose-driven leaders and organizations for learning\, inspiration\, relationship-building\, and societal impact.

DESCRIPTION:Building Cultures and the Role of Leadership\n \n \n \n \n \n Virtual Event | ZoomThursday\, February 23\, 20234:00 pm – 5:00 pm ET \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About\n \n \n \n \n \n For the past two years\, organizations have been forced to navigate a series of social\, financial\, and political pressures that no one could have seen coming. As the dust begins to settle\, it’s become increasingly obvious where organizations have made great strides towards achieving more equitable cultures and organizational outlooks — and where they still have room to grow. \nAs we continue to steer towards that more equitable and egalitarian future\, join us for a conversation on what your fellow leaders are doing to build a culture of equity and belonging — one that prioritizes DEIB initiatives\, mindful hiring practices\, and workforce satisfaction and retention rates. During this virtual roundtable\, we’ll connect on some of the challenges we’re still facing and discuss the opportunities we’re eyeing to help us advance corporate cultures that pave the way towards progress\, equality\, and greater social impact overall.  \nThis is the second event in a virtual series focused on reimagining leadership in a hybrid workforce. Our goal is to carve out virtual space for connection\, support\, and shared learning for any leaders of nonprofits\, businesses\, social enterprises\, and communities who are navigating the new landscape that is hybrid work. \nAll members of the NationSwell Council are welcome to attend. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Upcoming Events\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Check out the Council calendar to learn more about upcoming events. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n NationSwell’s events and experiences are designed to bring together diverse\, purpose-driven leaders and organizations for learning\, inspiration\, relationship-building\, and societal impact.

Join us for a virtual roundtable where we’ll seek to answer some of the biggest questions associated with navigating the hybrid workforce\, including: What are the principles and approaches that are working best to offset the chaos of the last few years? What are some of the approaches and practices that have been helpful to leaders as they strive to ensure a positive\, cohesive culture? And what are the most important things and best practices we can implement to ensure sound DEIB approaches?  \nJoin an incredible group of peer leaders — some of whom are doing cut-through\, standard-bearing work to help navigate and optimize for these challenges — for a discussion that will bring us together to share\, reflect\, and gain insight into what other leaders are doing to help optimize for a hybrid workforce and lead at their best. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n NationSwell’s events and experiences are designed to bring together diverse\, purpose-driven leaders and organizations for learning\, inspiration\, relationship-building\, and societal impact.

So\, what are the frameworks and principles that are helping corporate philanthropic leaders to drive effective strategies? How are leaders ensuring that they are effectively managing\, communicating with and bringing along key internal and external stake-holders? What are the partnership or principles that are helping leaders to unlock that next level of impact? \nWe’ll explore these questions – and more – with some of the leaders in corporate philanthropy who are setting the standard. Importantly\, we hope that leaders from private philanthropy will join as well! This roundtable should offer a rare and illuminating line of sight into corporate philanthropy and leaders from private philanthropy have much to offer the conversation! \nThis NationSwell Leader Roundtable is for NationSwell Institutional Members. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n NationSwell’s events and experiences are designed to bring together diverse\, purpose-driven leaders and organizations for learning\, inspiration\, relationship-building\, and societal impact.

SUMMARY:Closing the Racial Wealth Gap and Increasing Access to Capital
DESCRIPTION:Closing the Racial Wealth Gap and Increasing Access to Capital\n \n \n \n \n \n Virtual Leader RoundtableWednesday January 25\, 20234:00pm – 5:00PM EDT \n \n I'm interested in joining this event.\n \n \n \n \n \n I am interested in joining the NationSwell Virtual Leader Roundtable on Closing the Racial Wealth Gap and Access to Capital\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n ABOUT\n \n \n \n \n \n Due in large part to the pandemic\, environmental inequities\, and inflation\, the last few years have seen an already persistent racial wealth gap grow even more extreme. Leaders across sectors are examining the role and responsibility they have to play in shrinking that gap\, particularly as the looming threat of a recession threatens to present a host of new challenges for marginalized communities and people of color.  \nDuring this NationSwell Leader Roundtable\, we’ll hear from a powerful group of cross-sector leaders on the work they’re doing across business\, philanthropy\, finance and government to level the playing field and increase access to capital\, with a particular eye towards uncovering some of the most promising initiatives\, investments\, and potential collaborations. \nInstitutional Members or senior colleagues working in DEIB or interested in how businesses\, philanthropies\, and investment firms can play a role in making the world more equitable and just are all welcome to attend. Together\, we’ll discuss the actionable steps businesses can take to increase the flow of capital to POC-owned businesses\, reduce systemic lender bias\, and create a more egalitarian future for all. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n NationSwell’s events and experiences are designed to bring together diverse\, purpose-driven leaders and organizations for learning\, inspiration\, relationship-building\, and societal impact.

SUMMARY:What’s Ahead in ESG in 2023

But even as we attempt to anchor ourselves\, the field of ESG continues to shift and evolve rapidly in response to a wide-range of complex pressures: anxiety over the national and global economy\, the consequences of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine\, the chaos that environmental crises have wreaked on supply chains\, shifts in control of Congress and state houses\, and more. \nJoin us to hit the ground running on fine-tuning our strategies and approaches to ESG in 2023. Together\, we’ll map the state of play for the field\, learn the new cases that its critics and proponents are making\, and surface one another’s perspectives and outlooks on this moment in ESG\, our prognosis for its future\, and its implications for our organizations\, our teams\, and the communities we serve \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n NationSwell’s events and experiences are designed to bring together diverse\, purpose-driven leaders and organizations for learning\, inspiration\, relationship-building\, and societal impact.

SUMMARY:Looking Ahead: The 2023 Sustainability Agenda
DESCRIPTION:Looking Ahead: The 2023 Sustainability Agenda\n \n \n \n \n \n Tuesday\, December 6\, 2022\n3:00pm – 4:00pm EDT | 12:00pm – 1:00pm PST\nLocation: Virtual\n \n RSVP for this event\n \n \n \n \n \n I am interested in joining Looking Ahead: The 2023 Sustainability Agenda.\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About\n \n \n \n \n \n Sustainability is no longer just a buzzword: it’s an imperative — for consumers\, companies\, and governments alike\, all across the world. In recent years\, geopolitical conflict\, natural resource shortages\, rising inequality\, and increasingly frequent extreme weather patterns have accelerated our collective need to address the impacts of climate change with greater urgency. There is a rising tide of interest in sustainable consumption\, greater investment in green technologies and circular economy business models\, as well as ongoing integration of ESG into investment strategies. Shareholders are starting to demand executive compensation to be linked to ESG performance. Given the SEC’s new requirements on public company climate disclosures\, businesses must go beyond declaring net zero targets to specifying with greater rigor\, transparency\, and consistency how such goals will be achieved. What is our progress to date on the UN Sustainable Development Goals\, and how can we align ourselves to a more ambitious plan and agenda in order to safeguard our future? \n  \nThis event is presented in partnership with Morgan Stanley. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n What We’ll Discuss\n \n \n \n \n \n Join us for a one hour\, private virtual roundtable as we look ahead and discuss the 2023 Sustainability Agenda. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Featured Participants\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Jessica Alsford\nChief Sustainability Officer and CEO of the Institute for Sustainable Investing \nMorgan Stanley \n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Nili Gilbert\nVice Chairwoman \nCarbon Direct \n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Jessica Hyman\nHead of Sustainability and DEI \nAtlassian \n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Debra McCoy\nPartner \nBain & Company \n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Moderator\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Greg Behrman\nCEO and Moderator \nNationSwell \n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Upcoming Events\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n				 Learn more about upcoming events. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n NationSwell’s events and experiences are designed to bring together diverse\, purpose-driven leaders and organizations for learning\, inspiration\, relationship-building\, and societal impact.

SUMMARY:Advancing Education Equity in a Post-Pandemic World
DESCRIPTION:Advancing Education Equity in a Post-Pandemic World\n \n \n \n \n \n Wednesday\, October 5\, 2022\n4:00 pm – 5:00 pm EDT \nVirtual – Zoom Details to Follow\n \n I'm interested in joining this event.\n \n \n \n \n \n I am interested in joining the Advancing Education Equity in a Post-Pandemic World\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About\n \n \n \n \n \n During the pandemic\, we heard so much rhetoric about how COVID’s disruption exposed the broken\, inequitable systems that so many accepted as givens in our society. But if we are truly attempting to build towards a more just world and fix what didn’t work\, why is there such a focus on returning to the old status quo of our education system? \nYoung people are continuing to shoulder the multi-year burden of education during the pandemic. We are facing multiple crises: mental health\, a lack of qualified teachers in classrooms\, and attacks on curricula rooted in the facts of our history. \nFellow Council member Mohan Sivaloganathan\, CEO of Our Turn\, will lead us in an open conversation with students\, education leaders\, and policy experts on how we can advance education equity in a post-pandemic world. Join us to learn how leaders can take tangible steps to build a new normal that doesn’t fail the future of America’s students by rooting what’s possible for their education in the inequities of their past.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n MODERATOR\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Mohan Sivaloganathan\nCEO\, Our Turn \n \n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n PANELISTS\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Hamse Warfa\nSenior Advisor\, U.S. Department of State\n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Syd Fryer\nOur Turn Executive Fellow and University Student\n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Arshia Papari\nOur Turn Organizing Fellow and High School Student \n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Kurt Browning\nSuperintendent\, Pasco County Schools (FL)\n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Armando Montero\nSchool Board Member\, Tempe Union High School District (AZ)\n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Upcoming Events\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Check out the Council calendar to learn more about upcoming events. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n NationSwell’s events and experiences are designed to bring together diverse\, purpose-driven leaders and organizations for learning\, inspiration\, relationship-building\, and societal impact.

Of the three facets to ESG\, the “S” is the most expansive\, the hardest to define and elegantly measure\, and the most challenging to report on. During this NationSwell Roundtable Event\, we’ll drill down on the social considerations that are most important for an organization’s long-term health and discuss the best strategies and methodologies for capturing that impact. \nLeaders in ESG\, social impact\, and sustainability are all invited to attend\, and we hope that participants will leave with new strategies and tools to drive organizational alignment and hone operational efficiency around social impact\, and that the event sparks inspiration on how social\, political\, and labor considerations can contribute to an organization’s overall health. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Upcoming Events\n \n \n \n \n \n Check out the Institutional calendar to learn more about upcoming events.

SUMMARY:New Leadership in a Changing and Uncertain World
DESCRIPTION:New Leadership in a Changing and Uncertain World\n \n \n \n \n \n Monday\, August 15\, 2022 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm EDT\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About\n \n \n \n \n \n As we continue adjusting to the new normal of our post-pandemic world\, many organizations are exploring new leadership models. The shift away from the typical office experience has prompted a reexamination of traditional hierarchical systems and how we can reorganize in ways that produce more equitable outcomes. As leaders grapple with questions of how organizational values may have shifted\, we ask how new forms of leadership can better reflect those values. \nJoin NationSwell Council members Beth Bengtson\, Radha Ruparell\, JaTaune Bosby\, and Reyna Montoya for a discussion in our ongoing Break the Bias series exploring these alternate forms of leadership that challenge the norms of the typical workplace dynamic. We will explore atypical leadership models such as shared leadership\, adaptive leadership\, and collective leadership\, and others.  \nThe panel will explore questions about what it means to truly share power and how these new models can be used to further organizational goals while creating safer\, more equitable workspaces that open up new ways for people to interact and collaborate\, and allow for the inclusion of perspectives that were previously missed or undervalued. \nThis event is open to all Council members\, especially CEOs\, founders\, and others in leadership roles. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n PANELISTS\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Beth Bengtson\nFounder/CEO \nWorking for Women\n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Radha Ruparell\nHead of Global Leadership Accelerator \nTeach For All\n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n JaTaune Bosby Gilchrist \n Executive Director \nACLU of Alabama \n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Reyna Montoya\nFounder & CEO \n Aliento \n  \n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n MORE ON THIS TOPIC FROM NATIONSWELL\n \n \n \n \n \n 01\n \n \n \n \n \n Seizing the moment to close the opportunity gap\n \n Read\n \n \n \n \n \n 02\n \n \n \n \n \n NationSwell Insights Briefing: Actionable practices for 2022\n \n Access the Insights Briefing\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Upcoming Events\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Check out the Council calendar to learn more about upcoming events. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n NationSwell’s events and experiences are designed to bring together diverse\, purpose-driven leaders and organizations for learning\, inspiration\, relationship-building\, and societal impact.

The increased investments\, attention and interest coming from all quarters also generate intense pressures and pain points: How can we operate efficiently? How can we best manage information flow and data requests and management? How can we communicate effectively with key stakeholders ranging from the Board\, the Executive Team\, investors\, employees\, customers and more? How can we build the systems for the needs and opportunities not just of today – but for tomorrow? \nAll leaders are grappling with facets of – if not all – of these and other related questions. So\, what are the tools and resources that members are finding most valuable and helping in addressing these challenges and leading effectively?  \nJoin us for an open and solutions-oriented exchange designed to ensure that you have line of sight to what’s working best for your peer leaders – and what might be helpful in the context of your own leadership in advancing this work. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Upcoming Events\n \n \n \n \n \n Check out the Institutional calendar to learn more about upcoming events. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n NationSwell’s events and experiences are designed to bring together diverse\, purpose-driven leaders and organizations for learning\, inspiration\, relationship-building\, and societal impact.

SUMMARY:Advisory Forum: We the Veterans’ Vet the Vote Initiative
DESCRIPTION:Advisory Forum: We the Veterans’ Vet the Vote Initiative\n \n \n \n \n \n Wednesday\, July 20\, 2022 @ 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm EDT \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About\n \n \n \n \n \n Free and fair elections are one of the bedrock principles of American democracy. But the proper functioning of our elections is at risk from a number of forces\, one of which is a national shortage of poll workers\, which has reached a critical level.  The traditional cohort of poll workers has an average age of 60 and their outstanding volunteerism has been badly suppressed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Election boards across the country have struggled to recruit enough volunteers to efficiently and effectively run elections and keep polling places open and running smoothly. America needs to recruit more than 1 million volunteers annually to administer election polling sites. We The Veterans is working to fill that void with its nonpartisan Vet the Vote initiative\, which seeks to recruit 100\,000 veterans and military family members to fill these vacant rolls and\, leveraging the credibility of this community\, help restore faith in our elections. \nNationSwell invites you to join Council member and We the Veterans co-founder Ben Keiser for a strategic advisory session to help further this effort. We are looking for leaders in the veteran community along with experts in public relations\, marketing\, coalition building\, and democracy activists to provide insights and actionable goals for the Vet the Vote initiative. \nBen will be seeking advice on how best to build a brand that generates awareness and public trust in this effort\, increase awareness about poll workers and what they do\, build partnerships outside the veteran and military community\, and reach unaffiliated veterans and military families\, with a focus on engaging with large corporate CSR and veteran ERG groups. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Advisee\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Ben Keiser\nCo-Founder and Board Member \nVet the Vote \n \n Learn more\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Presented By\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n NationSwell’s events and experiences are designed to bring together diverse\, purpose-driven leaders and organizations for learning\, inspiration\, relationship-building\, and societal impact.
