SUMMARY:AI for Workforce Enhancement
DESCRIPTION:AI for Workforce Enhancement\n \n \n \n \n \n BraintrustThursday\, October 15\, 202612:00pm – 1:00pm ET  \n \n I'm interested in joining this event. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About\n \n \n \n \n \n Some employers have used AI in place of portions of their workforce. However\, many are finding that AI\, used alongside employees\, supercharges their work. \nThis braintrust will bring together leaders across industries to explore how they can develop a business case for leveraging AI to enhance their employees’ abilities and focus on high-value tasks\, rather than leveraging AI to replace employees. We’ll surface examples of wins and brainstorm untapped areas\, identifying new potential use cases for AI to support employees in doing their best work. \nThree guiding questions: Prompt 1: Lots of companies are trying to implement AI transformations\, but few are seeing ROI because they aren’t solving people’s problems – do we think that’s true? Is the company – AI transformation problem real? \nPrompt 2: Are AI transformations exacerbating or ameliorating the affordability crisis? In this crisis\, what is the worker’s attitude toward AI? Is there a logical chain linking people’s fear of AI to their failure to take advantage of it? \nPrompt 3: What are bright spots among companies successfully leading workforce AI transformations that solve 70% of people’s problems and create opportunities for workers to advance? \nNationSwell’s Virtual Roundtables and Braintrusts are built for members who are actively working on the issue at hand — including senior leaders\, practitioners\, and subject-matter experts — making them our most accessible format. The bar for the room isn’t seniority; it’s engagement with the topic. Registration may involve a brief approval step to ensure the conversation stays high-quality. \nTo encourage open and candid discussion\, this event follows the Chatham House Rule – attendees may share insights from the conversation but cannot attribute statements to specific individuals or organizations. This ensures a trusted space for thoughtful dialogue and deeper insights. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n NationSwell’s events and experiences are designed to bring together diverse\, purpose-driven leaders and organizations for learning\, inspiration\, relationship-building\, and societal impact.

SUMMARY:Building Regional Coalitions for Lasting Change
DESCRIPTION:Building Regional Coalitions for Lasting Change \n \n \n \n \n \n Virtual RoundtableWednesday\, November 4\, 202612:00pm – 1:00pm ET  \n \n I'm interested in joining this event. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About\n \n \n \n \n \n Place-based collective action is one of the most powerful — and most challenging — ways to drive lasting change in a region. Leaders working to build and sustain regional coalitions constantly navigate hard questions: How do you align diverse stakeholders around a shared vision? How do you fund coalition work sustainably? How do you keep community voice and engagement at the center as efforts scale? \nJoin NationSwell for a virtual roundtable co-hosted with the Walton Family Foundation and Delta Philanthropy Forum\, bringing together a curated group of leaders with direct experience building and managing place-based coalitions\, and those who are interested in doing so. Together\, we’ll dig into practical strategies for funding regional collaboratives\, operationalizing multi-stakeholder partnerships\, and deepening community engagement — while creating space to share real challenges\, hard-won lessons\, and emerging ideas with peers who understand the work. \nThis conversation is designed to leave every participant with sharper strategies\, new connections\, and a stronger playbook for advancing collective action in their own community. \n  \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n NationSwell’s events and experiences are designed to bring together diverse\, purpose-driven leaders and organizations for learning\, inspiration\, relationship-building\, and societal impact.

The barriers are rarely about the technology itself—more often it’s staff hesitation\, unclear use cases\, or a lack of practical training that stalls progress. \nThis roundtable will surface the approaches that are working best—from training and change management to addressing staff hesitation—so leaders can move past experimentation and toward practical use. Come share what you’ve tried and leave with concrete ideas for accelerating adoption at your own organization. \nNationSwell’s Virtual Roundtables and Braintrusts are built for members who are actively working on the issue at hand — including senior leaders\, practitioners\, and subject-matter experts — making them our most accessible format. SUMMARY:ERGs in a Shifting Environment: A Braintrust on Structure\, Participation\, and Shared Ownership
DESCRIPTION:ERGs in a Shifting Environment: A Braintrust on Structure\, Participation\, and Shared Ownership\n \n \n \n \n \n BraintrustThursday\, November 12\, 202612:00pm – 1:00pm ET  \n \n I'm interested in joining this event. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About\n \n \n \n \n \n ERG and colleague engagement leaders have a lot being asked of them right now. The environment has shifted for many — some organizations have restructured\, scaled back\, or are rebuilding entirely — and even where programs are stable\, the operational challenges are real. \nMost teams are working through the same set of questions: how to keep co-leadership structures from depending too heavily on one or two people\, how to meaningfully include employees who can’t always show up\, how to make sure the work ERG leads are doing gets recognized outside the group itself\, and how social impact and DEI functions coordinate when they’re often touching the same programs from different angles. \nThis intimate NationSwell Braintrust brings together social impact\, ERG\, and DEI practitioners to compare notes on what’s working\, what’s been rethought\, and where the open questions still live. This gathering is designed specifically for in-house social impact and colleague engagement leaders; we are not able to accommodate vendors\, consultants\, or service providers. \nNationSwell’s Virtual Roundtables and Braintrusts are built for members who are actively working on the issue at hand — including senior leaders\, practitioners\, and subject-matter experts — making them our most accessible format. SUMMARY:What We Can Do to Strengthen and Protect Democracy
DESCRIPTION:What We Can Do to Strengthen and Protect Democracy\n \n \n \n \n \n Thursday\, December 10\, 20264:00pm – 5:00pm ET Roundtable \n \n I'm interested in joining this event. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About\n \n \n \n \n \n Preserving and strengthening American democracy over the long term requires sustained investment in the institutions\, norms\, and civic infrastructure that undergird our processes and systems. We must look past individual election cycles to identify where vulnerabilities and opportunities exist\, and how we can shore up the most fundamental building blocks of our system of self-government. \nThis roundtable will focus on lifting up the programs\, policies\, and approaches best positioned to strengthen democratic institutions and civic life over time. Leaders will have the chance to compare strategies with peers and consider where their own resources might have the most durable impact.

SUMMARY:Leadership Lunch on Mental Health in the Workplace\, New York City
DESCRIPTION:Leadership Lunch on Mental Health in the Workplace\, New York City\n \n \n \n \n \n Thursday\, January 21\, 202712:00–2:00 PM ETNew York City \n \n I'm interested in joining this event.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nMental health has become a central part of the workplace conversation. Companies are investing in benefits\, programs\, policies\, and new approaches to supporting employees—but amid all that activity\, a harder question remains: What is actually working? \nJoin us for an upcoming NationSwell Leadership Lunch focused on moving workplace mental health from performative to transformative. Together with Kathy Pike of One Mind\, senior people leaders and cross-sector peers will explore what meaningful progress looks like\, where promising approaches are emerging\, and how organizations can move beyond isolated initiatives toward cultures\, systems\, and practices that measurably improve employee wellbeing. \nThis is a space for candid conversation about what we’re learning\, where organizations are still falling short\, and what it will take to make mental health a genuine part of how workplaces operate and lead. We hope you’ll join us. \nThis is more than a lunch—it’s a space to connect\, reflect\, and lead together. Will you join us? \nThis is a Chatham House Rule conversation — candid\, collaborative\, and designed to surface the kind of honest exchange that only happens in a room of trusted peers. Come ready to engage. \nLeadership Lunches bring together a curated group of roughly 10 to 12 senior leaders for an intimate\, off-the-record midday conversation. These lunches are best suited for principal-level members or their direct reports who are navigating complex decisions and would benefit from a trusted room of peers working at a similar level. Spots are limited\, and attendance is by invitation or approval. \n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Upcoming Events\n \n \n \n \n \n Check out the Institutional calendar to learn more about upcoming events.
