The past few months have brought a new wave of anti-DEIB rhetoric, activism, and litigation, in part driven by the Supreme Court’s recent ruling against established equal protection under the law. This ruling not only effectively ended the use of affirmative action in college admissions but also paved the way for a host of new legal challenges to racial justice programs, grants supporting certain demographics, and work aimed at bolstering diversity.
As the U.S. presidential campaign cycle continues and companies encounter increased scrutiny of their DEIB actions, the stage is set for a challenging year for philanthropic, social impact, and sustainability leaders. But within these headwinds is also a meaningful opportunity — a chance for leaders to take stock of and adapt to new challenges, consider valid criticisms, and meet the moment.
Join NationSwell and fellow members for a casual breakfast and discussion where we will isolate the most important and solvable challenges, surface our biggest learnings and recommendations, and think aloud in draft mode about what we can do to prepare for the road ahead.
NationSwell’s events and experiences are designed to bring together diverse, purpose-driven leaders and organizations for learning, inspiration, relationship-building, and societal impact.
