Building a More Sustainable and Inclusive Economy

Tuesday, June 21, 2022 @ 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm EDT

About

Climate change and inequality are two of the defining challenges of our time.  Inextricably linked, climate change exacerbates inequalities across class, race, gender, geography, and generations.  Low-income communities and vulnerable populations are disproportionately impacted by climate change, especially those who have seen their wellbeing and their economic lives under threat from extreme weather conditions.

Comprehensive and effective solutions addressing both climate change and rising inequality must include a sustainable, inclusive economy. Inclusive growth is an approach that delivers sustainable, broad-based economic gains considering environmental concerns as well as health, education, skills development, and economic advancement.

WHAT WE’LL DISCUSS

Join us for a 90-minute, private virtual roundtable as we discuss how inclusive growth is ultimately good for business, the role of innovation and private sector capital, as well as the cross-sector commitments required for building a more inclusive and sustainable economy while reimagining traditional business practices.

We have confirmed leaders participating in this discussion from Uber, YouTube, Thomson Reuters, and several major foundations.
