About
This year marks a century since the first observance of what would become Black History Month—a milestone that invites us to honor the Black leaders, communities, and institutions that have shaped our lives and our work.
Join NationSwell and fellow leaders for a participatory roundtable that centers Black history and Black leadership in all the ways they show up: ancestors and elders, mentors and managers, artists and organizers, hometown institutions, and everyday examples of courage and care. A few featured participants will open with personal stories about who formed them, and then we’ll open the floor for shared reflection and conversation.
We warmly encourage members and partners to come ready to lift up Black mentors, colleagues, or community leaders who have inspired their own journey.
To encourage open and candid discussion, this event follows the Chatham House Rule – attendees may share insights from the conversation but cannot attribute statements to specific individuals or organizations. This ensures a trusted space for thoughtful dialogue and deeper insights.
NationSwell’s events and experiences are designed to bring together diverse, purpose-driven leaders and organizations for learning, inspiration, relationship-building, and societal impact.
